 2000年11月27日，《纪录片》开播。
  2003年5月8日，《纪录片》栏目改版为《见证•影像志》。

定位

《见证•影像志》将致力于提供当代中国现实社会的深度写真，通过纪录片的独特观察方式，描摹中国改革时代的历史画卷，客观、平实、深入地为转型期的中国留下一份珍贵的影像志。

理念

《见证•影像志》目标致力于纪录片的栏目化生存。我们是带摄影机的忠实记录者，为您见证那些不动声色而又惊心动魄的变化。当见证者的镜头无处不在的时候，我们有理由相信，若干年之后，当子孙们好奇地观赏着我们今天的面孔，这些影像见证的价值和力量将会被加倍地显现出来。见证，是我们唯一的出发点。真实，是我们唯一的目的地。

History
On November 27th, 2000, the program Documentary was first broadcasted, and on May 5th, 2003, it changed into a brand new program WITNESS.

Orientation
WITNESS is devoted to present vivid pictures of contemporary society of China, describe the history events during the reformation process from special aspects in documentary way. By doing this objectively, austerely and deeply, we are able to reserve a series of valuable footages of China during its transformation stage. 

Philosophy
WITNESS is endeavoring to combine documentary creation with the TV program production. We are the ones who are equipped with cameras to see the plain and thrilling changes with our own eyes. It is reasonable to believe that when our descendants watch these films full of curiosity, the value and the power of these footages is due to be magnified. 

To witness is our starting point, and to pursuit truth is our only destination.
